About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of field communications for TW&A wealth advisory teams
  • Set the vision and approach for field communications and oversee development of change-related collateral
  • Develop and execute holistic field/client-facing change management and communication strategies across email, Viva Engage, and Wealth Distribution Hub
  • Develop role-based communication forums, best-practice sharing, and ongoing support with Practice Management
  • Manage the Distribution Change calendar, monthly Wealth Enablement updates, and key communication forums for Field, Distribution, COO, and Executive Management audiences
  • Centralize communications and collateral for Wealth Distribution teams and coordinate communication timelines, methodologies, and content
  • Align communication strategy and execution with Distribution, Marketing, Product, Change Management, Training, Wealth CAO, and broader Wealth teams
  • Design and implement an Advisor support line and other field-supporting projects
  • Create and monitor success metrics by communication method and channel, using engagement data and field feedback to refine execution
  • Advise partners and provide sign-off on communication strategies, field-facing tool enhancements, and key projects
  • Foster strategic relationships with Wealth leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Coordinate messaging with Training and Practice Management teams
  • Manage the overall Wealth Enablement communication plan, project inventory, team calendar, and internal/key partner communications
  • Serve as point of contact for Field Social Media strategy and partner with Legal, Compliance, and Supervision on program requirements
  • Monitor competitors and peer organizations for emerging wealth and financial services industry trends
  • Manage team performance through regular feedback and formal performance reviews, supporting delivery, engagement, motivation, and development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of work experience required
  • 10+ years of work experience preferred
  • University degree preferred
  • Experience with field communications and change management strategy
  • Experience developing content, collateral, messaging, and communication channels
  • Experience managing communication calendars, project inventories, and communication plans
  • Experience creating and monitoring communication success metrics using engagement data and field feedback
  • Wealth/financial services industry knowledge and TIAA products/services acumen
  • Skills in adaptability, audience-focused communication, communication channel management, communication strategy, consultative communication, content development, copywriting, relationship management, storytelling, and TIAA products/services acumen
  • Ability to partner with Legal, Compliance, Supervision, Training, Practice Management, Marketing, Product, Change Management, Operations, and other cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a collaborative in-office environment
  • Sedentary work physical requirement
