About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend Java-based microservices and JavaScript applications within a distributed systems environment
Build scalable, resilient APIs and services, along with flexible and reusable UI components
Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases and work with NoSQL data stores as needed
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, and deployment
Implement domain solutions and execute changes in alignment with established implementation plans
Automate routine tasks through scripting and develop programs for complex system configuration and enhancements
Create and maintain documentation for system configuration, processes, and service records
Own technical deliverables and drive tasks through completion with minimal oversight
Collaborate across technical teams and seek guidance from senior engineers on complex or ambiguous technical challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java
Familiarity with modern frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot
2+ years of experience working with JavaScript for frontend development
Experience building and maintaining UI components
2+ years of experience with AWS cloud platform and databases (RDBMS or NoSQL)
Knowledge of Agile Methodology, Continuous Integration and Deployment, Data Analysis, Debugging, DevOps, Enterprise Application Integration, Operating Systems Management, Programming, Software Development, Software Development Life Cycle, and Web Application Development
University degree preferred
Ability to work in a sedentary role
