About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership in the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products, and services
Meet development schedules and deliver high-quality solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements
Lead software development life-cycle specification and software design phases
Manage design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts and software testing with other technologists
Align initiatives with platform technical architecture and business roadmap
Design and develop technical solutions for new software development and enhancement efforts
Coordinate coding and unit testing phases and facilitate code reviews
Develop and contribute to domain solutions and execute changes according to the implementation plan
Communicate project status and technical updates to stakeholders, including recommended action plans when required
Coordinate delivery timelines with the team, including quality and timeliness metrics
Coach, mentor, and delegate work to lower-level professionals
Participate actively in code development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree Required
5 or more years of experience in IT Software Development
3 or more years of hands-on programming experience in Java and Spring framework in production environments
3 or more years of experience building microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, deployed on AWS or containerized workloads
Experience with relational database or NoSQL database technologies, including Oracle or MongoDB
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of developers to deliver high-quality, scalable applications to production
Preferred: 7 years of work experience
Preferred ability to research emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives
Preferred ability to partner with business stakeholders, define solution roadmaps, and lead end-to-end delivery
Preferred application ownership experience
