About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead NNC investment strategy and portfolio management across global agriculture and timberland assets
- Establish and execute investment philosophy and strategic asset allocation decisions
- Develop investment frameworks balancing financial performance with environmental stewardship and social responsibility
- Oversee active management and optimization of the diversified portfolio
- Enhance returns through operational improvements, acquisitions, dispositions, and value-add management initiatives
- Manage biological assets, crop diversification, timber rotation optimization, and land conversion opportunities
- Ensure portfolio construction aligns with institutional investor mandates and manages concentration risk
- Chair or co-chair the Investment Committee and present investment recommendations
- Establish governance frameworks for investment decisions
- Serve as primary contact for institutional investors and articulate strategy, performance, and market outlook
- Lead investor meetings, fundraising initiatives, and industry conference participation
- Collaborate on capital raising, investor relations, and asset acquisition/disposition strategies
- Implement risk management frameworks for market, operational, climate, and regulatory risks
- Oversee portfolio analytics, performance measurement, attribution analysis, and transparent reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8-10 years of work experience
- University degree preferred
- Experience in investment strategy and portfolio management across agriculture and timberland assets
- Knowledge of strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and concentration risk management
- Experience with due diligence, risk assessment, underwriting standards, valuation methodologies, and performance attribution
- Institutional investor relations, fundraising, and investor meeting experience
- Knowledge of market, operational, climate, and regulatory risk in natural resource assets
- Experience with portfolio analytics, performance measurement, biological growth models, yield forecasting, commodity price exposure, and climate scenario analysis
