About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions aligned with engineering standards and business needs
- Design, implement, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-premises physical and virtualized environments
- Own systems engineering projects related to OpenShift infrastructure
- Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and optimize deployment and release workflows
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift and associated DevOps tools
- Automate operational and deployment tasks using Ansible and scripting tools
- Perform patching and upgrades of OpenShift clusters, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and related components under change-management procedures
- Design, implement, and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies
- Participate in on-call/standby rotation for critical platform and infrastructure services
- Perform trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Implement security practices including RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
- Improve alerting, monitoring, and observability across OpenShift and related systems
- Perform Linux system administration, infrastructure maintenance, and data center service support when required
- Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks
- Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training to colleagues on OpenShift, GitLab, and related infrastructure technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent certifications, including Red Hat OpenShift
- At least 4 years in IT infrastructure or platform engineering
- Hands-on experience deploying, operating, and maintaining OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or on-premise environments
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab CI and/or Jenkins
- Solid Linux system administration experience, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Practical infrastructure automation experience using Ansible or similar tools
- Bash and/or Python scripting skills
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
- Ability to document architectures, configurations, standards, SOPs, and technical documentation
- Upper-intermediate English, spoken and written
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science is advantageous
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is a plus
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware is advantageous
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations principles
- Experience with ArgoCD, monitoring/observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana, or disaster recovery tooling is optional but valuable
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and handle ambiguity
- Ability to understand business drivers and stakeholder expectations and translate them into technical solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to produce architectural documentation and visual design diagrams such as Visio
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment
