About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support structural design of vertical construction projects, including new buildings, renovations, and additions, under senior engineer guidance
- Assist with designs using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood in compliance with building codes and project requirements
- Prepare structural drawings, design reports, specifications, and calculation packages using Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis programs
- Observe construction and support construction administration
- Review equipment submittals and respond to contractor questions during construction
- Perform field surveys of existing structural engineering services
- Participate in peer reviews and checklist-based deliverable reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Work with industry experts on infrastructure projects across the Northeast
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural
- Passed the FE Exam and obtained EIT certification, or planning to by June 2027
- Familiarity with structural analysis concepts, software, and coursework or internship experience in structural engineering design, permitting, consulting, or construction observation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn, intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and excellent organizational skills
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural
- Preferred: Minor, concentration, or other degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture
- Preferred: Experience with STAAD, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation
