Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end delivery of complex analytical initiatives from business-question framing through execution, presentation, and stakeholder follow-through
Proactively surface KPI trends, anomalies, opportunities, and risks
Support ad-hoc analysis for customers, executives, and internal stakeholders with actionable recommendations
Advise Marketing, Product, Finance, Engineering, Account Management, and Support/Operations
Design and support statistically valid A/B testing experiments
Act as the primary Google Analytics subject matter expert for GA4 reporting, custom dimensions and metrics, tracking validation, and warehouse integration
Design, build, and maintain Looker Explores and dashboards
Develop, document, and test LookML for owned domains
Govern canonical metric definitions and resolve semantic-layer discrepancies
Expand self-service analytics capabilities across business units
Maintain production Explore and dashboard accuracy as warehouse structures change
Investigate data-quality issues and partner with Analytics and Data Engineers on upstream resolution
Write performant SQL and collaborate on query optimization, compute efficiency, and derived-table design
Partner on semantic-layer architecture, customer analytics definitions, segmentation, LTV, churn, and ML model outputs
Diagnose data-pipeline freshness and quality issues and communicate resolution timelines
Own SQL, LookML, documentation, and code-review standards
Mentor Junior Data Analysts and escalate development needs to the Manager
Build reusable SQL, LookML, analysis, and documentation assets
Contribute to standards updates, governance policies, and best-practice guides
Apply LLM and AI tools to accelerate analytics workflows
Design and build self-service analytics agents with prompt design, output validation, and iteration
Configure Cortex Analyst or equivalent AI-assisted BI platforms using semantic model templates and YAML definitions
Define quality standards for AI-generated analytical outputs
Prototype AI tooling and present build-versus-buy recommendations to the Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–7 years of total experience in core technical skills
4–5 years of advanced SQL, including window functions, CTEs, query optimization, complex analytical queries, and performance tuning
3–4 years of Looker expertise, including LookML development, Explores, dashboards, data visualization, and self-service analytics design
2–3 years of GA4 implementation, configuration, reporting, tracking strategy, and warehouse integration
1–2 years of Python/programming experience preferred, including data manipulation, automation, Git, and code review
2–3 years of A/B testing and experimentation experience, including experimental design, statistical testing, hypothesis formulation, and results interpretation
3–4 years of statistical analysis experience, including descriptive and inferential statistics, trend analysis, and anomaly detection
1–2 years of hands-on AI-augmented analytics experience using GPT-4, Gemini, Cortex Analyst, or equivalent
Experience with AI agent development, prompt engineering, AI output validation, and quality standards
4–5 years of stakeholder management experience, including cross-functional collaboration and executive communication
3–4 years of business analytics experience, including segmentation, LTV, churn, KPI development, metric definition, and translating business questions into analytical frameworks
2–3 years of team leadership experience, including mentoring junior analysts, code review, standards enforcement, and documentation
3–4 years of project management experience, including end-to-end analytical project ownership and managing multiple concurrent initiatives
