About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure post-shipment compliance for agricultural exports
- Process carrier invoices for freight, local charges, demurrage, and detention within the required deadlines
- Review and process payments and monitor carriers’ outstanding balances
- Initiate and manage disputes with carriers while adhering to payment deadlines
- Analyze credits and additional costs and negotiate commercial discounts with carriers to reduce expenses
- Enter and maintain up-to-date data in the ITAS system
- Handle shipment confirmations, bills of lading (BLs), and Telex Releases as a support function for execution teams
- Request BL and Telex Release amendments from carriers or customs brokers when necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in International Trade, Logistics, International Relations, or a related field
- Experience working with ocean carriers and/or freight forwarders is a plus
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Experience with ITAS and knowledge of AI tools and process automation are a plus
