About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the management of transportation orders, pickups, and deliveries, ensuring compliance with established deadlines and procedures
- Control and monitor empty-container returns carried out by the Operations department
- Review, organize, and keep logistics information updated in systems and tracking spreadsheets
- Monitor the status of logistics operations and help resolve operational issues
- Coordinate with carriers, logistics operators, terminals, warehouses, and internal departments
- Monitor the performance of approved suppliers and support the sourcing and evaluation of new partners
- Conduct periodic operational audits with logistics providers, especially at ports in Santa Catarina, preparing reports, action plans, and follow-up on corrective measures
- Conduct occasional technical visits to suppliers, port terminals, and warehouses to monitor operations and assess performance
- Monitor spot operations and special logistics projects, ensuring compliance with operational and commercial requirements
- Support logistics cost and budget analyses and identify improvement opportunities
- Prepare management and operational reports to support the department’s decision-making
- Ensure compliance with the company’s safety standards, compliance requirements, and internal processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in logistics operations, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain
- Experience managing and monitoring logistics suppliers
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and knowledge of ERP/TMS systems
- Availability for occasional travel, especially to ports and logistics facilities in Santa Catarina
- Valid Category B driver’s license
- Experience with operational audits, quality controls, or process management is a plus
