About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with research and preparation of legal pleadings for Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases
  • Monitor cases through court dockets and ensure all court deadlines are met
  • Keep case management and client communication systems updated with current case statuses
  • Communicate with outside parties throughout the bankruptcy process
  • Develop and maintain congenial relationships with business associates and clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction
  • Support attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Paralegal Certification preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in an office setting preferred
  • Prior legal support or bankruptcy experience a plus but not required
  • Ability to navigate and multi-task through multiple systems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday during general business hours
  • Prolonged ability to sit at a desk, type, use, and look at a computer
