Key responsibilities & impact

Build AS-IS and TO-BE architecture models in VA-prescribed DoDAF/UAF formats
Own the SAFe Architectural Runway
Own each product's Solution Architecture Package
Align designs to the VA Technical Reference Model, Zero Trust strategy, and VAEC/VA Platform One hosting
Advise on FHIR, ESB/EAI, API, and VALIP integration patterns
Advise on cloud migration
Support ATO decisions
Support DevSecOps maturity assessments
Support decommissioning alternatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience, including 10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture on large federal programs
Expert / Level IV or well-qualified Senior / Level III experience level
Experience with DoDAF/UAF architecture models and solution architecture packages
Experience with cloud and integration architecture, including AWS, Azure, VAEC, FHIR, and ESB/API
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred
Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust
Must be able to obtain a VA PIV credential
Certified SAFe Architect certification
Red Hat Certified Engineer in Cloud-Native Applications certification
AWS or Azure Solutions Architect certification preferred
VA or federal health architecture knowledge preferred
Knowledge of VA TRM and Zero Trust strategy preferred
Experience with ATO and DevSecOps maturity assessments preferred
Data platform architecture experience with Databricks and OpenShift preferred
