About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day support to a portfolio of pension and employee benefits clients
- Act as a first point of contact for client and provider queries
- Support administration of workplace pension schemes and employee benefits arrangements
- Assist with governance reports, analyse provider data, and produce accurate reporting for consultant review
- Support monthly submission and reconciliation of pension contributions through provider portals
- Liaise with pension providers and insurers to obtain information and resolve administrative queries
- Process and support pension-related claims, including death claims
- Manage invoicing processes and debt management activities in liaison with Finance
- Maintain accurate client records and data integrity across internal systems
- Support consultants with client servicing requirements and project work
- Complete activities within agreed service standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience within an administration, client support, or customer service role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience working to service standards, targets, or SLAs
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation and data
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established processes
- Understanding of compliance, customer outcomes, and regulatory requirements
- Desirable: experience within financial services, pensions, insurance, or employee benefits
- Desirable: knowledge of workplace pension schemes and pension administration processes
- Desirable: experience supporting employee benefits arrangements
- Desirable: understanding of Group Life Assurance (GLA), Group Income Protection (GIP), and Private Medical Insurance (PMI)
- Desirable: experience supporting annual renewals and data validation exercises
- Desirable: knowledge of Auto Enrolment requirements and Group Personal Pensions
- Highly organised and methodical
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to investigate and reconcile data accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Proactive and accountable approach to work
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Professional, client-focused, and committed to delivering excellent service
- Good standard of education, including Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
- Working towards, or holding, a relevant CII qualification is advantageous but not essential
