About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with drafting and design of mechanical system projects
  • Prepare drawings using design production software
  • Perform basic mechanical calculations
  • Complete redline revisions
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural engineering professionals
  • Deliver design services for complex plant/building systems and site operations in heavy industrial sectors including mining, mineral processing, aggregate, and metals
  • Travel less than 10% to other TKDA offices, project or client locations, as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in architectural technology, engineering technology, mechanical/building system design, CAD technology, or a related field
  • Four or more years of progressive experience designing industrial mechanical systems
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must reside within regular commuting distance of Duluth, MN or Bloomington, MN
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, criminal conviction review, and driving history review
