About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design structural systems for facilities projects across the Pacific Northwest
- Prepare structural calculations, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Develop detailed drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated designs
- Participate in model reviews and clash detection
- Conduct occasional site visits and field verifications of existing structures
- Perform condition assessments and support construction observation activities
- Build relationships with clients, project teams, and contractors
- Lead or support structural-only and multidisciplinary projects from planning and design through construction administration
- Develop technical leadership and project management skills
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Structural Engineer (SE) license, or ability and commitment to obtain Washington SE licensure within one year of hire
- Five or more years of structural design experience supporting facilities projects
- Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and precast structural systems
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA-3D and/or RAM Structural System
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience collaborating with multi-discipline engineering and architectural teams throughout project delivery
- Ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and project team members
- Ability to travel up to 10% for project meetings, site visits, and construction observation activities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship needs
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening
