About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble preformed sheet metal parts using drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers, and other equipment
- Assemble and pressure test valves and similar components
- Interpret assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches accurately and efficiently
- Maintain good housekeeping of the individual work area
- Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers
- Perform other assignments as assigned by supervisors
- Establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement
- Maintain technical and supervisory skills through relevant training, courses, seminars, exhibits, and trade shows
- Follow information security policies and protect company data and systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in the assembly of preformed sheet metal parts and use of associated mechanical equipment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
- Ability to use, read, and interpret drawings and measuring scale or tape proficiently
- Ability to work in a team or solo environment
- Familiarity with tablets and computers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow information security policies, safeguard company data and systems, and report suspected security incidents or violations
- Personal and fellow-employee safety awareness when operating equipment
