About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel to customer sites to install, fix, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment
- Use online technical documents, manuals, and vendor resources to research machine issues
- Complete and submit accurate documentation regarding machine issues, repairs, and installations
- Promote and perform preventive maintenance on customer machine tool equipment
- Provide after-sales technical support and training
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and company product lines
- Report directly to the Service Manager
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated ability in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering desired
- CNC repair background is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics required
- Microsoft Office and other software experience is a plus
- Ability to use a laptop, smartphone, and various software applications
- Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills required
- Ability to regularly lift 40–50 pounds
- Flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory
- Strong mechanical and electrical proficiency
- Ability to work in industrial environments and wear required PPE
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and access elevated areas for extended periods
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the role
