About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide legal advice and support across the company’s operations, including the review, preparation and amendment of legal documents.
  • Review and manage contracts with third parties to ensure compliance, mitigate legal risks and monitor adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and analyse changes in financial regulations and corporate laws, advising management on their potential impact on the company’s operations.
  • Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to respond to regulatory inquiries and support the timely submission of regulatory reports.
  • Provide legal support for licensing applications, renewals and other interactions with financial regulatory bodies.
  • Act as a key point of contact for legal matters across Sales, Marketing, Back Office and Human Resources.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators and other stakeholders to obtain and provide information relevant to the company’s operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; postgraduate legal qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Good knowledge of Australian corporations law and financial services regulatory requirements.
  • Strong legal research, drafting and contract review skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in financial services, a law firm or an in-house legal environment is essential.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across different business functions and manage multiple priorities effectively.
