About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proofread and copyedit e-learning materials and other content for Toastmasters audiences
- Provide feedback and guidance on content edits, reworking or rewriting when needed
- Ensure adherence to organizational brand and style guidelines and accessibility for international audiences
- Review final content in the Learning Management System for layout, system functionality, and correct links
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Content Producers
- Assist with communications, logistics, and department administration
- Support project timeline management
- Respond professionally and promptly to staff inquiries
- Support a collaborative team environment
- Complete additional assigned tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 or more years of relevant work experience, preferably in an editorial capacity
- Proven excellence in proofreading and copyediting skills; Track Changes proficiency required
- Proficiency applying Chicago Manual of Style principles
- Mastery of American English spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Proficiency in Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Planner
- Proficiency with Zoom and related business and communication tools
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, including creating digital forms
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to plan and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with others
- Ability to learn and incorporate new skills, information, and processes quickly
- High level of professionalism, respect, and customer service
- Willingness to learn about and acclimate to Toastmasters International culture and policies
- Experience in corporate training or adult education
- Work authorization required; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
