About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead finance and accounting contributions to IT development work
  • Develop testing plans and maintain Finance project timelines
  • Track project deliverables and provide updates to leadership
  • Review financial data for GAAP compliance
  • Review, test, and validate journal entries, financial reports, and payment processing
  • Identify and resolve project risks, delays, resource concerns, and accounting issues
  • Coordinate user testing and validation of new accounting functionality
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Serve as Finance liaison for assigned projects
  • Support ERP, accounting system, financial reporting, and technology initiatives
  • Analyze data reconciliation and accuracy during system conversions
  • Review accounting workflows and identify efficiency improvements
  • Standardize accounting processes across departments and business entities
  • Assist with year-end audit requests and department budgets
  • Cross-train and provide backup for Finance team members
  • Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-year college degree in Accounting or a Business degree with a concentration in accounting
  • 3–4+ years’ experience with general ledger, month-end close, and account analysis
  • 3–4+ years’ experience working with ERP or financial systems
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong project management, organizational, and documentation abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with accounting and non-accounting individuals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-oriented and able to meet assigned deadlines
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available
  • Reliable internet service required when working from home
  • Compliance with company policies, including COVID-19 vaccination, testing, and face-covering policies
