About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, commission, test, integrate, optimize, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair TOMRA Recycling sensor-based sorting systems
- Perform field service activities primarily in Poland, with support across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia as required
- Prepare comprehensive service reports after installations, maintenance activities, and technical interventions
- Report service activities, expenses, spare parts usage, and other operational data accurately and on time
- Deliver on-site training to customer maintenance and service teams
- Support the development of fellow TOMRA Service Engineers
- Provide technical support by phone and respond promptly to customer and equipment-related field issues
- Collaborate with Sales and Project Management teams through technical expertise and field insights
- Maximize sorting-system performance, reliability, availability, and customer satisfaction
- Complete field service projects on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards
- Build and maintain customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor and TOMRA ambassador
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline; alternatively, a technical qualification with relevant field service experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar field service, maintenance, technical support, or industrial service role
- High willingness to travel, with approximately 80-90% of working time spent on customer sites across Poland and the broader Central & Eastern European region
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Hands-on approach, willingness to travel, and passion for technology and engineering
- Fluent in Polish and good English, written and spoken
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
