About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Become the subject matter expert for a particular service in cooperation with the relevant software team
- Provide operational support for software deployments
- Respond to production incidents
- Develop infrastructure automation tools to eliminate manual effort
- Detect and resolve potential problems before they degrade
- Maintain high availability for managed services
- Implement infrastructure solutions needed by product teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong background in Linux systems, including shell scripting and performance tuning
- Excellent understanding of Internet technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL
- Previous experience operating a large-scale, high-uptime environment
- Coding skills in Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, or another interpreted language
- Knowledge of deployment and maintenance of web applications
- Experience using a configuration management tool such as Ansible
- Familiarity with general monitoring principles and tools such as Zabbix and New Relic
- Advanced English
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 09:00–18:00 Uruguay time
