Serve as a Senior Java EE/Jakarta EE Developer, advancing a critical enterprise investment back-office platform
Work with Java EE/Jakarta EE, APIs, messaging, persistence, relational databases, application servers, and distributed systems
Participate in the modernization and architectural evolution of applications
Make technical decisions independently
Consider the connections among code, architecture, data, integration, security, performance, and operations
Use AI to increase productivity and quality by questioning, reviewing, and technically validating its output

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience as a Senior Java Developer working on enterprise or distributed systems
Experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE
Strong command of Java, object-oriented programming, software engineering principles, and design patterns
Experience with one or more of: JPA/Hibernate, CDI, EJB, JAX-RS, JMS, and JTA
Experience developing and evolving REST APIs, integrations, and distributed services
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Experience with automated testing, code review, and Git
Ability to investigate complex problems, perform root cause analysis, and propose sustainable solutions
Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs involving architecture, performance, security, stability, and maintainability
Autonomy to manage assignments and participate in technical decisions
Ability to serve as a technical reference and support other developers
Experience with WildFly, JBoss EAP, Open Liberty/Liberty, or other Java EE/Jakarta EE application servers
Experience using EJB, JMS, and JTA in production applications
Experience with highly available, high-volume transaction, or mission-critical systems
Experience modernizing and evolving existing Java EE applications
Knowledge of distributed architecture, messaging, and asynchronous processing
Experience with observability, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
Knowledge of resilience, idempotency, retries, timeouts, and circuit breakers
Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization
Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, or payment systems
Strong foundations in programming and software engineering; prior experience with specific AI tools or agents is not required
