Key responsibilities & impact

Design, execute, and analyze complex experiments across a hyper-local, networked marketplace
Lead methodology for non-standard testing, including spatial switchback testing, cluster randomization, and geo-experiments
Apply econometric causal inference methods, including Difference-in-Differences, Synthetic Controls, Propensity Score Matching, and Regression Discontinuity
Conduct deep exploratory analyses of massive datasets
Uncover growth opportunities
Optimize courier incentive structures
Analyze consumer price elasticity
Model marketplace network effects
Build offline predictive models, including Customer Lifetime Value, churn probability, and user segmentation
Inform business strategy, targeted campaigns, and financial planning
Define North Star metrics, leading indicators, and guardrail metrics with executive leadership
Translate complex statistical findings into clear, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations
Partner strategically with Product, Operations, Marketing leadership, Product Managers, and Business Operators

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Econometrics, with a heavy emphasis on experimentation and product strategy, ideally within a multi-sided marketplace, delivery, or mobility tech company
Deep expertise in applied statistics, probability, and experimental design
Understanding of p-hacking, novelty effects, cannibalization, and marketplace interference (spillover effects)
Expert-level SQL skills
Fluency in Python or R for statistical modeling and data analysis
Strong business orientation focused on measurable business value and user impact
Demonstrated ability to distill complex statistical concepts into clear, actionable frameworks for Product Managers and Business Operators
Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Nice to have: experience scaling or building internal experimentation platforms and A/B testing tools, including Statsig
Nice to have: familiarity with spatial data analysis and geospatial tools, including H3 and Geopandas
Nice to have: prior experience analyzing logistics, supply chain, or pricing and incentive structures
