About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for section in accordance with IFRS
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Support the annual audit process by working with Corporate accounting to meet external auditors' requests
- Conduct analysis and contribute to the review of SBU Investment Committee Applications
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Lead internal control audits
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Review and approve accounting batches
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing explanations
- Validate, update, and manage retro pricing with customers and suppliers
- Lead reconciliation of monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory balances carried on monthly financials
- Record necessary adjustments resulting from inventory counts
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing technical complexity
- CPA preferred
- Travel: 20-30%
