About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies
  • Prepare and review corporation tax returns
  • Manage a portfolio of business clients
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting, budgeting and business planning
  • Assist with audit assignments and assurance work
  • Support due diligence, business valuations and corporate finance projects
  • Conduct technical accounting and tax research
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Mentor and support junior accountants
  • Work alongside partners on strategic growth initiatives and practice development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • ACA qualified or ACCA qualified
  • Ideally 5+ years' post qualification experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
  • Experience managing a client portfolio
  • Good knowledge of corporation tax compliance
  • Exposure to audit, management accounts or advisory work would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Commercially minded and client focused
  • Ambitious and seeking long term career progression within practice
