About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive onboarding and integration across multiple portfolio companies
  • Lead post-merger integration across finance, IT, HR, and commercial functions
  • Develop integration playbooks, synergy tracking, and reporting processes
  • Support add-on integrations and platform investment onboarding
  • Build relationships with founders, boards, sponsors, and portfolio company leadership
  • Represent the private equity firm on founder calls
  • Oversee financial, HR, and systems-related initiatives with subject matter experts
  • Support FP&A activities, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and debt covenant tracking
  • Identify, prioritize, and communicate operational risks and growth opportunities
  • Oversee interim finance and operations resources
  • Partner with portfolio leadership to select and onboard permanent hires
  • Lead cross-functional teams and ensure accountability and delivery
  • Lead operational transformation projects focused on EBITDA improvement and growth
  • Implement structured program management processes
  • Leverage ERP, CRM, and BI tools to modernize operations and reporting
  • Partner with deal teams on pre-LOI operational and financial capability assessments
  • Contribute to operational and financial due diligence
  • Deploy framework initiatives during the first 100 days
  • Coordinate onboarding of GL, CRM, and HR/payroll systems
  • Drive add-on integration and synergy realization during the first year
  • Establish repeatable processes and dashboards for long-term success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7–10 years of experience working with private equity portfolio companies, management consulting, or related operating roles
  • Proven track record leading M&A integrations, synergy realization, and post-close execution
  • Strong foundation in finance, including FP&A, accounting, and capital structures
  • Demonstrated experience driving operational transformation and EBITDA improvement
  • Experience designing and executing PMO playbooks
  • Broad business acumen across finance, HR, technology, and operations
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, and BI tools
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, resilient, and adept at navigating ambiguity
  • Degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • Must preferably live in the Eastern or Central time zone with easy access to commercial air travel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
