About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, or similar tools
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation testing
- Develop and execute API automation test scripts using REST Assured
- Validate REST APIs, including request/response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, and error handling
- Work with AWS Cloud environments and test cloud-hosted applications and services
- Validate application functionality across development, QA, staging, and production environments
- Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Identify, report, track, and troubleshoot defects using tools such as Jira
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and testing scenarios
- Participate in test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting
- Ensure test coverage, maintain automation scripts, and continuously improve testing processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–6 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks
- Good knowledge of TestNG or JUnit
- Hands-on experience in API Testing using REST Assured
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML, and API validations
- Experience working with AWS Cloud services and cloud-based application environments
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation
- Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway
- Experience with Docker and containerized application testing
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
- Basic understanding of security testing concepts
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage testing activities
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality
