About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform functional testing to ensure applications meet business and functional requirements
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and test scenarios
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts
- Perform hands-on web application automation testing
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data and verify database integrity
- Identify, document, track, and report defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
- Perform regression, retesting, and end-to-end testing
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing
- Good working knowledge of SQL and database validation
- Hands-on experience in Web Automation Testing
- Strong understanding of test case design, test execution, defect life cycle, and STLC
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience in API Testing (good to have)
- Knowledge of API automation frameworks and tools such as REST Assured or Postman (good to have)
- Understanding of API validation, request/response handling, and integration testing (good to have)
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality software
