About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead pre-sale strategy and execution for Compliance & Trade Surveillance opportunities with regional sales teams
- Participate in deal teams, prospect meetings, discovery sessions, and complex RFPs as a regulatory and product expert
- Build and deliver client-specific demonstrations, presentations, and proposals
- Coach and enable sales teams on capital markets regulation, trade surveillance use cases, and competitive positioning
- Serve as a subject matter expert on capital markets regulation and trade surveillance
- Represent Trading Technologies at industry conferences, panels, and networking events
- Develop and execute the business line's thought leadership agenda through whitepapers, blogs, and webinars
- Track evolving regulatory requirements and translate implications for clients, prospects, and internal teams
- Connect sales, product management, implementation, and customer support teams
- Participate in customer support and product management feedback and strategic sessions
- Provide market and client input into product roadmap and prioritization
- Partner with product management on go-to-market plans for new features and releases
- Develop and drive commercial processes for the Compliance & Trade Surveillance business line
- Support pricing, packaging, and deal structuring guidance
- Contribute to forecasting, planning, and pipeline reviews
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, engineering, and marketing on client commitments
- Report pipeline, sales support activity, and market insights to senior leadership
- Build and maintain a network of legal and compliance professionals across financial services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in capital markets
- Deep expertise in trade surveillance and/or capital markets regulation, including market abuse, MAR, MiFID II, and Dodd-Frank
- Proven track record in business development, pre-sales, or sales within financial technology
- Experience supporting complex compliance or surveillance platforms
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert and represent an organization externally at conferences, panels, and through thought leadership
- Experience bridging sales, product, and customer-facing teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts for varied audiences
- Existing network of legal, compliance, and trading professionals in financial services
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Direct experience within a regulator, exchange, or sell-side/buy-side compliance or surveillance function is desirable
- Hands-on experience with the TT platform or similar trade surveillance, OMS, or EMS platforms is desirable
- Public profile as a speaker, author, or panelist on capital markets compliance and surveillance topics is desirable
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, or similar sales and product tools is desirable
- Futures and Options, Listed Equity Options, or Equities experience preferred; Fixed Income and FX experience a plus
