About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide accurate and timely support across speculative and physical trading desks
Run defined processes for price and position reconciliation for the global Deals Desk team
Enable production of PnL, exposure, and control reports
Reconcile trades with exchanges, brokers, and clearers
Use price publications from various sources to build forward curves
Support bookkeeping tasks
Progressively develop the capability to independently manage an assigned book, including trading business, risk, and MTM responsibilities
Improve estimated cost accuracy and align estimates with actual costs incurred
Maintain key data not automatically managed by IT system rules
Maintain data integrity between two key systems
Facilitate timely daily trade entry for earlier global position publication
Use Excel to produce cross-checks ensuring data-entry accuracy
Hedge speculative trades

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduate in Commerce/Economics with sound understanding of accounting practices and principles
Good understanding of Excel is essential
Data management experience
Experience using multiple IT interfaces at once
Meticulous attention to detail
Flexible with work shifts
Team player with good communication skills – verbal and written
Fast learner and comfortable operating in a fast paced environment
Flexible attitude and self-motivated
