About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead analytical framing, design, and continuous optimization of the Residential SBU manufacturing footprint
  • Evaluate 5-to-10-year manufacturing network architecture to support growth and margin objectives
  • Own integration for complex capital programs, facility start-ups, brownfield expansions, site consolidations, and strategic work transfers
  • Drive cross-functional footprint and network evaluation processes
  • Align capacity plans with market demand forecasts using scenario modeling
  • Establish make-vs-buy, vertical integration, and factory specialization strategies
  • Develop business cases with Finance partners and quantify strategic benefits
  • Evaluate candidate regions and sites using industrial, trade, labor, supplier, energy, and permitting criteria
  • Orchestrate multi-phase programs with interdependent sub-projects
  • Coordinate master integration, schedules, and financial oversight
  • Implement phase-gate governance and manage capital expenditure risk
  • Define program governance and operating structures across business units, corporate functions, and plant management
  • Translate technical and financial analyses into executive proposals and present strategic options, financials, and phased roadmaps
  • Support change management, workforce readiness, talent retention, and institutional knowledge preservation
  • Collaborate with advanced engineering teams on DFM/DFA, FMEA, and 3P to optimize process layouts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, or supply chain
  • Proven experience successfully coordinating multi-phase capital programs or transition initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Ability to think holistically about long-term network architectures, capacity, site selection, and operating models
  • Mastery of program management methodologies for highly interdependent workstreams, including critical path, resource smoothing, and risk register management
  • Ability to align Finance, Procurement, HR, IT, Engineering, and Plant Operations around a single program goal
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and political savvy
  • Experience utilizing structured decision governance models
  • Strong understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies, including MES, PLM, automation levels, and multi-plant digital infrastructure
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Safety-sensitive role; may require additional drug screening
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA
  • Preferred: 5+ years of direct leadership in manufacturing, operations strategy, or complex capital/transformation programs within a highly matrixed industrial environment
