About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate projects focused on improving Prophet 21 (P21) functionality, business processes, and operational efficiency across the Supply organization.
- Identify, prioritize, and support implementation of system enhancements and process improvements.
- Partner with Supply Retail Excellence, Regional Managers, Store Operations, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define priorities.
- Establish business system and process requirements using Operational Excellence tools and disciplines.
- Develop business cases, success metrics, and project plans, including return-on-investment analysis where applicable.
- Support and optimize pricing-related business processes and system capabilities within P21.
- Provide business systems leadership for store technology capabilities, including payment processing, peripherals, printing, and related technologies.
- Liaise between Supply/Store Operations and technical teams to coordinate requirements, issue resolution, technology changes, and deployments.
- Coordinate cross-functional resolution of business and technology issues affecting store operations.
- Provide training, communication, and support to end users regarding P21 best practices, features, process changes, and enhancements.
- Lead change management activities for rollout and adoption of new processes and capabilities.
- Stay informed on P21 enhancements, technology updates, and industry best practices.
- Maintain relationships with regional teams and stakeholders to identify support, deployment, and training needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience supporting business systems, operational processes, or project coordination in a business, retail, distribution, or field operations environment.
- Experience working with enterprise business systems and related operational technologies in a distributed or multi-location environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP, Prophet 21 (P21) point-of-sale system, pricing, payment processing, or store technology solutions preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail, supply, parts, or branch operations processes and supporting technologies preferred.
- Demonstrated project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and operational requirements into effective technology solutions.
- Experience coordinating issue resolution across multiple business and technical teams.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and work collaboratively across functions to achieve business goals and drive change.
- Strong team orientation and ability to bring people together to develop goals, action plans, and practical solutions in support of operating objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Lean or continuous improvement experience preferred.
- Field experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance required.
