About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
  • Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market
  • Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs
  • Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
  • Serve as the direct customer contact and maintain responsibility for assigned products and equipment
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Working proficiency with handheld computers, such as smartphones and iPads
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Technical School or formal training preferred
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays
  • Ability to pass additional drug screening for this Safety Sensitive role
