About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of a multi-million-dollar construction project portfolio from beginning to end
  • Administer, implement, and manage assigned construction projects
  • Lead cross-functional teams through project delivery focused on energy savings, operational efficiency, budget control, schedule performance, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
  • Prepare, document, implement, control, and update project schedules, budgets, buyout, subcontractors, permits, safety plans, risk assessments, quality plans, communication plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, schedules of values, testing/commissioning, punch-list, turnover, and close-out
  • Lead owner, subcontractor, progress review, and internal coordination meetings
  • Develop and maintain master schedules, milestone plans, look-aheads, and recovery plans
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, cost trends, contingency usage, cash flow, and change management
  • Manage project risks to ensure timely and on-budget completion
  • Select and manage multiple subcontractors and suppliers
  • Meet with contractors, building owners, subcontractors, other trades, and internal teams regarding project scope, budgets, performance, and close-out
  • Manage project cash flow, including progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Investigate customer concerns, implement corrective action, and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Establish professional relationships and communicate with field support staff, customers, and representatives
  • Coordinate with Operations, Sales, and Service to fulfill project requirements
  • Travel to customer job sites as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or construction management with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage time in a disciplined, productive manner
  • Highest levels of ethics, trust, and personal responsibility
  • OSHA 10 minimum preferred; OSHA 30 preferred
  • Familiarity with financially guaranteed contracts, energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems preferred
  • General working knowledge of basic engineering, electricity, mechanical HVAC systems, and the building construction industry
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI in the previous 5 years, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions/preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • Ability to travel to customer job sites within a 2–5-hour radius and stay overnight as assigned
  • Ability to work outdoors and/or in mechanical/equipment rooms and tolerate variable environmental conditions
  • Safety-sensitive role; may require additional drug screening
