About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop HVAC controls-related solutions for customer problems, including financial and performance-based considerations
- Assess customer needs and current market opportunities
- Assemble and coordinate acquisition teams for customers and projects as needed
- Convert leads into opportunities by assigning sales processes and team members and communicating next steps
- Develop and execute account-specific business plans
- Build long-term relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners
- Provide customers with total solutions for energy-efficient buildings
- Answer customer technical questions regarding HVAC systems, Trane products, controls, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution
- Plan daily activities and visit customers
- Prioritize customer engagement and collaborate with colleagues in the office when not interacting with customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of demonstrated experience or a Bachelor of Science degree
- 2+ years of solution sales experience
- Valid in-state driver's license with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Ability to provide HVAC controls-related solutions
- Ability to answer technical questions about HVAC systems, Trane products, system applications, controls, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution
- Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply
- Safety-sensitive role may require passing additional drug screening
