About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan and review assigned projects
Establish schedules, project parameters, and procedures to accomplish system goals
Set up projects and oversee them through full completion
Manage project documentation, materials, job costing, status monitoring, invoicing, and administrative closeout
Communicate with customers and representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff
Read and comprehend construction schedules
Schedule and participate in internal project team meetings
Validate cost to date and reconcile project data in the business system
Manage the invoicing process and coordinate format, layout, attachments, and mailing with Shared Financial Services
Review billing backlog and coordinate with Project Managers, HVAC Field Technicians, customers, and Trane claims to resolve obstacles
Share project concerns with Project Manager and legal staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three (3) plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Participate in and contribute to lean improvements activities
Strong communication skills
Proactive approach and willingness to work independently and as part of a team
Experience prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment
Previous experience with financial systems and basic accounting
Construction law and regulation knowledge preferred
Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems preferred, not required
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required
Regular travel to construction sites within the territory
Valid driver's license held for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
