About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process customer quotes and orders and respond to inquiries, questions, and complaints by phone and email
  • Support Account Managers and multiple stores across the district
  • Identify customer needs and provide timely, quality solutions
  • Process quotes and orders on behalf of Account Managers
  • Provide priority service to Account Managers
  • Search for sales opportunities and drive sales through product knowledge, promotions, related products, and add-on extensions
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Resolve problems while adhering to company policies and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Make outbound calls, including marketing new products
  • Occasionally visit external customers to understand needs and future sales opportunities
  • Execute quote and order management processes, including entering quotes and invoices and following through on fulfillment
  • Help plan, communicate, and invite customers to store and vendor events
  • Follow safety resources, processes, and standard work
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Provide counter coverage, store operations, and inventory management support when needed
  • Complete training and other duties as needed
  • Travel or work from multiple stores as directed by the Customer Specialist Leader
  • Work with diverse teams, mentor and onboard new associates, pursue learning, and participate in team and community activities
  • No supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of inside sales, retail, or related experience
  • HVAC sales or related HVAC experience is beneficial
  • Mechanical aptitude and background helpful
  • Proven experience building customer relationships
  • Proven sales and customer service skills
  • Strong computer knowledge and comfort level
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to travel or work from multiple stores
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Ability to complete required training, including safety training, certification, and testing
  • Ability to pass additional drug screening for this safety-sensitive role, if required
