About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all activities involving Digital Services, including repairs, upgrades/enhancements, service agreements, and new equipment connectivity throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Work with sales to provide timely Digital Services support and service agreement pricing
  • Support sales through contract pricing for parts and service
  • Coordinate field service activities
  • Recruit, train, develop, and manage technicians
  • Manage invoicing, collections, and customer satisfaction
  • Own P&L performance through monthly revenue forecasting and digital service agreement growth
  • Support digital growth in repairs, installations, and service turnkey work with the acquisition team
  • Manage expenses and overhead for fleet, uniforms, tools, and safety equipment
  • Identify, manage, and reduce risk across service agreements, turnkey work, and repairs
  • Lead service coordination and resource planning for emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, scheduled work, upgrades, installations, replacement components, and long-term service agreements
  • Attract, coach, develop, and retain digital service talent
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance management and technical product training
  • Ensure margin and cash performance through sales and fulfillment controls, timely invoicing, expense management, and increased utilization
  • Define, adopt, and enforce standard service work processes
  • Improve transactional processes affecting customer experience and satisfaction
  • Champion environmental, health, and safety compliance across the service team
  • Provide safety training for shop and customer-site work
  • Travel to customer sites as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC BAS controls or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience managing and coaching teams and organizing work schedules
  • Project management capability for startups, customer requests, and service/installation deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Salesforce experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions/preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • 5+ years of experience in building automation installation and/or BAS-focused project management
  • Experience coordinating field execution, startups/commissioning, closeout, and customer handoff
  • Proven people leadership experience leading BAS technicians and engineers
  • Ability to assign work, set priorities, remove roadblocks, coach performance, and develop technical capability
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent jobs and drive quality and on-time delivery
  • Cross-functional leadership skills partnering with sales/acquisition, service coordination, engineering, and field operations
  • Ability to travel to job sites and engage directly with customers and technicians
  • Ability to work safely in field environments involving variable weather, moving mechanical parts, heights, and mechanical/equipment rooms
