Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market
Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
Apply knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts
Work with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits
Coordinate with the team leader/project manager and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
Serve as the direct customer contact for assigned projects
Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
Enforce safety standards
Record the use, wear, and condition of company-issued and procured assets
Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads
Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
EPA Certification
Ability to work overtime and weekends as business requires
Ability to occasionally stay overnight
Safety Sensitive role may require additional drug screening
