About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market
- Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
- Use knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts
- Work with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits
- Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
- Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
- Serve as direct customer contact and manage products and equipment on assigned projects
- Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
- Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets by recording use, wear, and conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Working proficiency with a handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
- Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Technical School or formal training preferred
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as business requires
- Ability to occasionally stay overnight
- Safety Sensitive role may require additional drug screening
