About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market
Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
Apply knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts
Coordinate with the team leader/project manager and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
Serve as direct customer contact and manage products and equipment on assigned projects
Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays
Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions
Work directly with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits

Requirements

What you’ll need

A High School Diploma or equivalent required
Typically 5 plus years of experience in commercial HVAC
Chiller experience preferred
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with hand-held computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
EPA Certification
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
Ability to occasionally stay overnight
Ability to pass additional drug screening for this safety-sensitive role
