About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market
  • Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems
  • Apply knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts
  • Work with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits
  • Coordinate with the team leader/project manager and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
  • Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
  • Serve as direct customer contact and maintain responsibility for assigned products and equipment
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
  • Enforce safety standards and record the use, wear, and condition of company-issued and procured assets
  • Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g. Smartphone, iPad)
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • EPA Certification
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Ability to occasionally stay overnight
  • Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
