About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform maintenance and repair at customer locations in accordance with Trane specifications
  • Support Trane technicians at various site locations performing maintenance and repairs
  • Serve as the direct customer contact and be responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
  • Work with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits
  • Enforce safety standards
  • Maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required
  • Typically 0-2 years of experience in HVAC
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Working proficiency with a handheld computer such as a Smartphone or iPad
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • EPA Certification preferred, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Ability to occasionally stay overnight
  • Safety Sensitive role may require additional drug screening
