About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market
- Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
- Apply knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts
- Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
- Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
- Serve as direct customer contact and maintain responsibility for products and equipment on assigned projects
- Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
- Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
- Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Working proficiency with handheld computers, such as smartphones and iPads
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- EPA Certification
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as business requires
- Ability to occasionally stay overnight
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive role and pass additional drug screening if required
