About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane's Rental Service customers in a defined commercial market
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and startup of commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform testing, commissioning, servicing, inspections, site surveys, replacement, and equipment or system modifications
  • Serve as direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations or the Rental Services depot
  • Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs
  • Examine building layouts, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
  • Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets
  • Communicate inspection and service findings to customers and Project Managers
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through oral and written communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC, or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Working proficiency with a handheld computer (e.g. Smartphone, iPad)
  • EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer)
  • Ability to work overtime and weeks as business requires, including occasional overnight stays
  • Safety-sensitive role; may require additional drug screening
