About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of equipment projects from beginning to end
- Administer, implement, and manage projects, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Review construction schedules to meet customer requirements
- Generate ship status reports covering product lead times and project status
- Coordinate selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services
- Create detailed cost estimates and resolve scope deviations with the team
- Maintain accuracy of forecasted cost at completion
- Create and revise project schedules, including tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones
- Prepare Trane material and vendor orders; record material receipts and approve payments
- Enter equipment orders and issue vendor purchase orders
- Generate work orders for equipment start-ups
- Manage project cash flow, including progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management
- Work with customers, warehouses, and claims to address freight-damaged or missing equipment
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff
- Ensure successful transition of warranty to the service process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in finance or business management preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in project management or construction management preferred
- Working knowledge of construction, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and temperature controls
- Financial management/budgeting background required
- Experience with Microsoft software and Teams
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong follow-up and multitasking ability
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to learn quickly through hands-on/job shadow training
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
