About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned projects, financial performance, and the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Plan and analyze assigned projects; establish schedules, project parameters, and procedures for complex service applications
  • Create estimates and generate proposals
  • Enter projects, order and track parts and supplies
  • Schedule labor internally and with customers
  • Review project completion and coordinate billing
  • Enter service estimates, issue purchase orders, and generate work orders
  • Manage service projects from estimate through completion
  • Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals
  • Assist Sales in developing projects as needed
  • Communicate with customers and representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff
  • Investigate customer concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and assigned staff
  • Ensure assigned staff and subcontractors work safely under Trane and OSHA policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in project management, HVAC or related preferred
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with leadership principles prioritized
  • Experience and knowledge in contracting processes and estimating associated with HVAC installation and managing subcontractors preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Highly organized
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday
  • Less than 5% travel to customer job sites
  • Ability to work safely according to Trane and OSHA policies
