About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market
Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
Perform end-to-end testing, download programming, start up, commission, and service assigned projects
Serve as the direct customer contact and diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
Identify, examine, and resolve equipment and system issues while ensuring customer satisfaction
Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
Use software, technology, and hand tools while following blueprints or engineering specifications
Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets
Record asset use, wear, and conditions
Mentor team members
Work flexibly to support customers, including overtime and occasional overnight stays

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required
At least 10 years of experience in HVAC typically required
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with a handheld computer such as a smartphone or iPad
Valid driver's license held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
EPA Certification preferred, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer
Technical School or formal training preferred
Ability to work overtime and weeks as business requires, including occasional overnight stays
Safety-sensitive role may require passing additional drug screening
