About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market.
Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments.
Perform end-to-end testing, download programming, start up, commission, and service assigned projects.
Serve as the direct customer contact and diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations.
Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs.
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
Mentor team members.
Maintain flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays as business requires.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required.
Typically requires at least 10 plus years of experience in Commercial HVAC.
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Technical School or formal training is preferred.
EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer etc.).
Ability to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
Safety-sensitive role; may require additional drug screening.
