About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take operational and strategic responsibility for finance and controlling activities supporting the production sites in Leipheim, Jettingen-Scheppach, and Lutherstadt-Wittenberg
- Own all cost accounting and inventory management activities, including the annual standard-cost process
- Prepare, analyze, and comment on monthly closings, forecasts, and budgets
- Ensure strong compliance and effective internal controls in close cooperation with the business, supporting internal and external audit requirements
- Monitor and manage manufacturing costs, inventories, productivity, and other relevant plant KPIs
- Analyze variances, derive measures to improve results, and track implementation
- Support and challenge investment calculations, business cases, and profitability analyses
- Participate in or lead special projects and site-related initiatives as needed
- Further develop controlling processes, reporting, and KPI systems in the SAP environment
- Progressively assume additional responsibility toward a leadership role
- Collaborate closely with plant management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams
- Travel between relevant sites; primary workplace is with the Controlling team at the Leipheim site
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed university studies in business administration, finance, controlling, or a comparable qualification
- At least 7 to 10 years of professional experience in plant or production controlling
- Leadership strength and a high level of responsibility in applying accounting policies, financial controls, and fiduciary duties
- Sound experience in controlling within an SAP environment
- Knowledge of OneStream is a plus
- Strong business partnering skills and ability to exert effective influence in a matrix organization and across different organizational levels
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Initial experience in the functional management of topics or projects is advantageous
- Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel between relevant locations
